MS Dhoni made up for the lapses with the bat when it was India’s turn to field. Dhoni, who dismissed for a golden duck by Adam Zampa for the first time in nine years, took a terrific catch down the leg side off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling to dismiss Shaun Marsh.

In the 23rd over of the Australian innings, Jadeja just erred in line and slipped it down the pads of Shaun Marsh, who got himself in a tangle and only managed to get a tickle. Dhoni anticipated it and started to move towards the leg side even before Marsh had played the flick. In the end, the ball landed straight into his gloves and he managed to make a difficult catch look easy.

If holding the catch wasn’t enough, Dhoni also whipped the bails off as Marsh had lost his balance. But that was not needed as the umpire had already raised his finger and Marsh decided to walk for 16.
