New Delhi: Deandra Dottin’s all-round performance helped Brisbane Heat beat Sydney Sixers by five-wickets in a league match of the Woman’s Big Bash League 9WBBL) at the North Sydney Oval on Sunday.

The 25 year old West Indian all-rounder claimed two vital wickets to restrict the Sydney Sixers at 145/2 in their allotted 20 overs. Sixers captain and Australian legend Ellyse Perry impressed with a 42 after winning the toss.

In reply, Brisbane Heat lost their openers Beth Mooney and Smriti Mandhana cheaply but it was Deandra Dottin who virtually took the game away from the Sixers with her fantastic knock of 60 off 44 balls.

Dottin also hit Perry for a towering six that went out of the ground.
