Australian Women’s Cricket team captain Alyssa Healy, known for her charismatic personality, has served as a role model for many young girls. One of her young British fans named Evie in a recent event shared a fan moment with the Australian Skipper and received a memorable gift from her.
In a viral video that’s swirling around the internet, the young fan can be seen receiving a pair of wicket-keeping gloves from Healy which leaves the girl stunned yet extremely elated. The British fan was on cloud nine and claimed that Australia is the best cricket team in the world. Following this the Australian Women’s Cricket Team shared a video on their social media handle and wrote, “Fact or Opinion: this is the best thing you’ll see today. FACT!”
Evie came to watch the ongoing England-Australia and met Healy again after the team locked horns on July 8. She also remembered the time when she met Alyssa for the first time.
The Australian Team captained by Alyssa Healy is presently on tour in England for the Women's Ashes 2023 series. England levelled the Women's Ashes series with a two-wicket victory against Australia in their first One-Day International (ODI) at Bristol.
The multi-format series now stands at six points each, with two ODIs remaining in Southampton and Taunton.
Australia just needs to win one of these games to hold up their position in the Ashes, but England is gliding smoothly following three straight victories.
Back-to-back T20 victories have rejuvenated England but crossing this threshold against opponents who had won 41 of their previous 42 ODIs will instill great confidence that they can shock the odds.
Australia's 263 for eight was overtaken with 11 balls to spare, due in large part played by captain Heather Knight's unbeaten 75 from 86 balls and a magnificent late cameo from Kate McKinnon.
