New Delhi: Comeback man Parthiv Patel is making the most of his return to the Indian team. The Gujarat wicket-keeper batsman had impressive scores of 47 and 69* in the third Test at Mohali and this time he has shown his skills behind the stumps when he almost pulled off an M S Dhoni like run out on Day 2 of the fourth India-England Test at Mumbai.

Indian limited overs skipper M S Dhoni, who has mastered the art of throwing the ball onto the stumps without looking at them would be proud of Parthiv Patel’s effort, though he failed to run the batsman out. Dhoni had recently ran out New Zealnad batsman Ross Taylor in the fourth ODI.

England’s No. 10 Jake Ball and Jos Buttler were in a middle of a partnership when Ball nudged the ball down to deep cover and set off for two runs. Parthiv jumped in the air to gather a solid Umesh yadav return and knocked the bails off in a flash. Ball had just made his ground on time.

Interestingly, Wriddhiman Saha had pulled off an M S Dhoni like run out in the second India-England, when he ran out Haseeb Hameed without looking at the stumps.
