Former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram is widely regarded as one of the greatest swing bowlers ever to have played the game. Post his retirement from international cricket, Akram has ventured into coaching and commentating and is quite a respected voice in the sports broadcasting community. During Pakistan's three-match Test series against Australia which the Men in Green lost 0-3, Akram was one of the commentators.

On Day four of the final Test match of the series, Akram shared a light-hearted conversation with his fellow commentators on air at that time. On Day four of the final Test match of the series at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Akram challenged the Australian commentators with whom he was sharing the commentary box to pronounce the Pakistani player name of Fakhar Zaman. While one of them did manage to pronounce the name, the other one refrained from attempting the pronunciation.

David Warner Retires From Tests

Meanwhile, the conclusion of the three-match Test series brought an end to a glorious Test career of David Warner. The left-handed opener had already announced that this would be his final series and did manage to leave an impact in his farewell series, starting with a hundred in the first innings and managing to score a half-century in the final. Moreover, his team won 3-0. Warner termed it a bit of a dream come true.

The 37-year-old also said that he will not be playing the ODI format either. However, the southpaw will continue to ply his trade in T20Is and T20 leagues for now including the IPL where is presentlt contracted with the Delhi Capitals (DC). While Warner captained DC in IPL 2023 if Rishabh Pant regains fitness ahead of IPL 2024, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter is likely to get back his place at the helm of affairs after missing out on the 2023 season owing to injuries he sustained in a near-fatal car crash.
