India won the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh by 3-0 and they saved their bets for the last match at Hyderabad, where they registered their third-biggest win in T20Is in terms of runs margin as they defeated Bangladesh by 133 runs. Apart from bat and bowl, Team India were also phenomenal with their fielding. India’s collective team effort in the field saved runs, pulled off some good catches and added pressure on the opposition batters.

Team India fielding coach T Dilip continued the tradition of presenting the ‘Impact Fielder Of The Series’ award to the most impactful fielder and it was Washington Sundar who bagged the medal this time. Despite tough competition in form of Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag, Sundar edged them both out as the 25-year-old all-rounder took three catches during the series and contributed by saving several crucial runs as well.

India Fielding Coach Compares Pandya To Formula 1 Car

In a video uploaded by the official social media handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), T Dilip picked his three contenders, starting with Pandya. He compared Pandya’s energy on the field to "a Formula 1 car in top gear."

On the second contender, Riyan Parag, Dilip remarked: "When it comes to cutting angles and saving runs, he makes catches look so simple. I love the way he feels bad when he misses those one-percent chances on the field. Riyan Parag, contender number two. Hats off to the composure with which he takes those catches."

Washington Sundar was the third and the final contender for the medal and Dilip lauded his anticipation on the field and cutting angles.

"He's been exceptional when it comes to anticipation and cutting angles in the field. Every time you come here, you try to improve. I've seen a different Washington Sundar this time around," Dilip said.

Jitesh Sharma presented the medal to Washington, who expressed his gratitude saying,  "This honestly feels amazing. I try and give my 100 percent whenever I am on the field. And everyone can contribute on the field, no matter what is the situation. Very very grateful for this, thanks to T Dilip sir and the entire support staff."
