New Delhi: India faced defeat to England in the opening T20 encounter at Kanpur as the visitors restricted India on 147 and captain’s knock from Eoin Morgan sealed the victory.
Indian batting line-up tumbled easily while the bowlers had limited runs on broad to defend and experienced bowlers like Ashwin and Jadeja’s presence was clearly missed.
Indian pacers on the other hand failed to grab a wicket in the entire visitor’s innings which should be a concern for skipper Virat Kohli.
However, Jasprit Bumrah could have been on the wicket takers list only if he hadn’t bowled a no-ball to Joe Root. This is not the first time Jasprit Bumrah has been denied a wicket, the right arm bowler has a long history.
Social networking site Twitter was on fire as Jasprit Bumrah ‘dismissed’ Joe root on an illegal delivery.
Virender Sehwag was at his usual best as he took a dig on the 23-year-old bowler.
Sehwag tweeted: “Teacher: Pappu! Tell me a speciality of Jasprit Bumrah? Pappu: He knows the art of taking Wickets on No-balls.”
