While Team India's immediate next assignment is the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, fans have also started to look forward to the five-match Test series against England at home with the opening Test match of the series commencing on January 25. It will be a long stay for the Englishmen in India as the  final Test match will be played in March. The Three Lions would be determined to make a mark this time after they lost the series 3-1 on their previous tour of India.

However, before their tour of India, a report carried by The Telegraph has claimed that the visitors are bringing their own chef to India as they are afraid, they might fall ill. The news went viral in no time and even reached former India cricketer Virender Sehwag who took a dig at them for this bizarre ploy, saying that none of the English players would need a chef of their own when they play the IPL.

Reacting to Barmy Army's post which read: "England are taking their own chef to India later this month to try and avoid players falling ill during the tour", Sehwag wrote: "Yeh zaroorat Cook ke jaane ke baad padhi 😂 IPL mein nahi padegi" loosely meaning that England are roping in a chef only after Alastair Cook's retirement and won't need it during the IPL.

Former India cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra also took a dig at the English think tank for such a move. He said: "Good idea. 👍 I’m sure that majority of English players must be bringing in their chefs for the IPL too….year after year. AS IF 🤫."
