New Delhi: Former India skipper Virat Kohli tied the knot with Bollywood beauty Anushka Sharma on 11th December 2017. Today there are celebrating 5th wedding anniversary and Kohli often referred to his decision to marry Anushka as a huge turning point. According to him, she is responsible for the kind of person Kohli is now.


Kohli took to Instagram and posted a message for his wife Anushka that said, “5 years on a journey for eternity. How blessed I am to find you, I love you with all my heart”.






In reply to that, Anushka said: "Thank god you didn't go for 'payback' post".


“Anushka has been a huge influence in my life. Eventually, the influence in your life filters down to your game as well. Game is part of life. I have become a completely changed man for all the right reasons. I have evolved in the right way,” he had said in an interview.


Earlier, Kohli got the century after three years long drought. The last time he scored a century in ODI was back in 2019  against West Indies. The former India skipper also reached his 72nd international century and crossed Australian legend Ricky Ponting, who has  71 centuries in his kitty.


The Delhi-based batter also completed 1000 ODI runs in Bangladesh and became the second player after Shane Watson to get to 1000 ODI runs. He forged 290 runs stand for the second wicket with  Ishan Kishan who scripted history after he scored a double century and the fastest to achieve the feat.
