Cricket is often compared to a religion in India. No wonder that those who represent the country at the highest level in this sport are looked upto, And if someone has reached the status of Virat Kohli, then perhaps he has gone beyond the ordinary and assumed the status of a God or a Demigod at least in the public imagination.

The man who has scored over 25,000 international runs and counting is often regarded as one of the greatest batters to have ever played the game and is one of the top picks among the greats from the group of contemporary cricketers. The right-handed batter has 75 international centuries to his credit which is enough indication of how not for one or two years but over a period of time, he has dominated the oppositions and helped India win games at the highest level.

In an image which is now going viral on social media, an English Class 9 Question paper apparently featured Kohli's image. The students were asked to write a descriptive paragraph on the star cricketer. The image is from his Asia Cup 2022 hundred which came against Afghanistan and ended his century drought of over 1000 days.

Ever since his hundred in the T20I against Afghanistan, Kohli has found form in the other formats of the game as well after a period where runs seemed difficult to come by from his bat. While there were some concerns over his Test match format, he even scored a century in the longest format of the game in the Ahmedabad Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

In a recent statement on the RCB podcast, Kohli said that while he is back to playing like he used, he is still not at his best. He although hoped that he could reach that level in the forthcoming IPL which kicks off on March 31.
