India vs England Test Series: Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli opted out of the first two Test matches between India and England, citing 'personal reasons'. Despite his absence, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not issued an official statement regarding when Kohli might return, creating uncertainty among fans. In an official statement regarding Virat's absence from IND vs ENG Test Series, BCCI respectfully requested the media to uphold and respect his privacy.

According to Cricbuzz, Virat Kohli is currently not in India and is abroad. It still remains to be seen when the Indian batting legend will rejoin Team India and there is no timeline set for his return as of now. The former India captain's return to the national squad remains uncertain as his diehard fans await further updates on the matter.

Virat Kohli's absence in Hyderabad Test was strongly felt by the hosts as Rohit Sharma & Co. suffered a 28-run defeat at the hands of England.

According to a BCCI release, Kohli had stated that "certain personal situations demand his presence and undivided attention," explaining his decision to prioritize personal matters over his cricketing commitments. Last month, Kohli had opted out of first T20I against Afghanistan due to personal reasons.

"Kohli has requested the BCCI to be withdrawn from the first two Tests of the IDFC First Bank Test series against England, citing personal reasons," read the official statement.

"Virat has spoken to Rohit Sharma, the team management, and the selectors and has emphasized that while representing the country has always been his top priority, certain personal situations demand his presence and undivided attention."

Rajat Patidar replaced Virat Kohli in the Indian squad for IND vs ENG series opener in Hyderabad. The third Test between India and England is scheduled to begin in Rajkot on February 15. Fans are hopeful for Kohli's availability starting from the Rajkot game onwards.
