Indian pacer Mohammed Shami was seen in an interview with Harsha Bhogale on Cricbuzz. In this interview, he is seen discussing a varied set of things. From cricket to his personal life. I the interview, among other things, he also discusses his friendship with Virat Kohli and how they both share a bond like childhood friends. Talking about the gossip constantly surrounding Indian cricket, Shami said: "People also said Shami is over, his career is done. Just one ball can end your career."
While talking about how it can be exhausting as a professional sportsperson when you are not able to get the desired results, he said: "Circumstances can make you do anything according to me. Sometimes, circumstances make you weak. It hurts when you don't get the desired results even after performing for more than a year. "

Finally, while talking about his relationship with the Indian captain, he expressed how Virat is like a friend and not someone of a higher stature for him. They both share a friendly bond as revealed by Mohammed Shami. "With Virat, it never felt like you are playing with someone of the stature of Virat Kohli. It was always like playing with your Langooti Yaar (Childhood friend). Even our talks are somewhat like that."
"People say that it is all god gifted. But I only want to say that even God-gifted things need hard work," said Shami as he was stressing on the importance of working hard.
