Vijay Hazare Trophy: Kerala vs Uttar Pradesh was one of the nine matches that were played in the Round 2 of the Elite groups in the competition. We emphasize on the Kerala game as India’s tainted bowler, S Sreesanth is back amongst the wickets. He picked up five wickets for 65 runs in 9.4 overs. Even though the bowler picked up wickets, he couldn’t stop the flow of runs and thus, UP scored a good total of 283 runs. Akashdeep Nath was the top scorer with 68 runs for UP.

Things looked good for Kerala when Uthappa was batting at the crease. He scored 81 runs of 55 balls. As he departed Sachin Baby took care of the proceedings but he did not get good support from the other end. The latest buy for RCB, Mohammed Azharuddeen who got famous after his 100 of 37 balls, also failed to score as he got out for just one run. Sanju Samson started well but faltered for a score of 29 runs.

The Jharkhand star, Ishan Kishan who scored a big century in the previous match managed to score just 4 runs for his team this time. Punjab was on course to victory after a dismal performance by Jharkhand with the bat.
