New Zealand vs Australia: NZ won by 54 runs in the 1st T20 at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. New Zealand posed a big total of 184-5 after faltering in the early part of the innings. New Zealand lost Guptill, Seifert and Williamson for 0,1 and 12 respectively. Then Conway took charge of the innings with two good partnerships with Glenn Philips and James Neesham. In the end, Conway required two runs of the last ball of the innings to complete his century, but he only managed to take a single, thus finishing his innings at 99*. But he would be extremely happy to put up a man of the match kind of a performance with the bat.

Australia came out to bat with 185 runs required. Indian fans were closely looking at the millionaire cricketer Kyle Jamieson who earned 15 crore rupees at the IPL Auction 2021. He wasn’t very impressive as he picked up one wicket for 32 runs. The Australian side made some adjustments in their team. They were playing with six all-rounders and two wicket-keeper batsmen. Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade were set to take the lime-light in the Australian innings. But none of the star batsmen performed as they were expected to. Mitchel Marsh was the best batsman for Australia who scored 45 runs. His performance wasn’t enough as eventually, Australia only managed to score 131 runs.

Ish Sodhi was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand. He ended up with the figures of 4-28. Southee and Boult also picked up couple of wickets each.
