There is no great concern over Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s fitness and the Indian medium pacer is expected to be available for selection for the 2nd T20I at Lucknow on November 6.

A few eyebrows were raised when Indian captain Rohit Sharma broke the news of Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s absence at the toss of the first T20I against West Indies at Kolkata because of health issues but Wah Cricket has learnt that Bhuvi’s health is nowhere near to set the alarm bells ringing.

“Bhuvneshwar Kumar misses out, he isn't feeling well,” Rohit informed when Murali Karthik enquired about India’s playing XI for the first T20I.

Bhuvi had a gastronomic problem and decided to stay back at the hotel room. He was replaced by Umesh Yadav in India’s playing XI for the first T20I, which included two debutants – Krunal Pandya and Khaleel Ahmed.

India and West Indies are playing their first ever bilateral series in India. The next two matches are scheduled in Lucknow on November 6 and in Chennai on November 11.
