"I never really played abroad, amazing experience and heat is something I had to deal with. Had to adapt to different conditions. We train a lot in the nets and try and put that practice in the middle. We were gutted, our batting let us down," she said at the post-match presentation.

68 that's what England have managed in the finals. What a performance this has been by Team India. Titas Sadhu, Archana Devi and Parshavi Chopra bagged 2 wickets each while Mannat Kashyap, Shafali Verma and Mannat Kashyap scalped a wicket each. 1 wicket fell to a run out.

ENGW U19 Lose Their 8th Wicket

A great catch followed by a superb run out. India putting on a clinical performance here in this match. First Josie Groves departed owing to the run out from Soumya Tiwari. Not much later and at the same score, Hannah Baker departed, stumped off the bowling of Shafali Verma. Richa Ghosh with the glovework there. England 53 for 8.

Parshavi Chopra gets a second wicket but brilliant effort on the field from Archana Devi who dived full length to grab that one-headed. Second wicket for Sadhu. It's getting bad to worse for England. They are reduced to 22 for 4 as Seren Smale is cleaned up by the fast bowler from Bengal.

Background

While there were a lof of questions before the start of the inaugural edition of the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup, a couple of weeks later India stand on the brink of making history. It has been an extremely competitive tournament so far and the final in Potchefstroom is expected to be nothing but the same. After all the group stage fixtures, the Super Six and the semis, the Women in Blue will be up against England to try and lift the trophy.
