New Delhi: Team India continues to perform brilliantly in the Under-19 World Cup. They beat Ireland by 174 runs on Wednesday. With this win, Team India has entered the quarterfinals. This is Team India's second consecutive win in Group B. India batted first after losing the toss. In the match played at the Brian Lara Stadium in the West Indies on Wednesday, India scored 307/5 in 50 overs.


'Man of the Match' Harnoor Singh scored 88 while Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 79. Rajvardhan Hangergekar played an innings of 39 runs. Ireland was bowled out for just 133 runs in 39 overs. Kaushal Tambe, Aneeshwar Gautam and Gaurav Sangwan picked up two wickets each. 


India captain Yash Dhull, vice-captain Sheikh Rasheed, Manav Parakh, Siddharth Yadav, Aaradhya Yadav, and Vasu Vats did not participate in the match because of being infected with Covid-19.






In the absence of Dhull, Nishant Sandhu captained the Indian team. Next, India will face Uganda on January 22. Ireland will face South Africa on January 21.
