TNPL 2024: Chepauk Super Gillies defeated Trichy Grand Cholas by 14 runs in Match 21 of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 and with the win, the Antony Dhas-led side move upto second in the table with 8 points. CSG managed to score a mammoth 198/4 in their 20 overs, as half-centuries from Santosh K Duraisamy and Narayan Jagadeesan did the trick for them.
In reply, Trichy Grand Cholas gave a good fight but fell short by 14 runs, as Chepauk Super Gillies conceded merely 42 runs in death overs and successfully defended 57 runs in the last 5 overs to script an impressive victory.
"It is a good feeling to see my team winning and the things falling in place. I have backed my natural game througout and got the results. Jafar Jamal has got a superb T20 cricket skillset. I enjoy bowling more," said Abhishek Tanwar, who was awarded the Man of the Match for his antics during the game.
