Tanush Kotian has announced himself and now. While the spin bowling all-rounder was predominantly known for his right-arm offbreak bowling, the Mumbai batter showed yet again why he is such an invaluable addition to the team as he can make invaluable runs lower down the order. Tanush scripted history with the bat when he plied his trade for Mumbai in the ongoing Irani Cup 2024 match against Rest Of India at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

While Tanush scored 64 off 124 in the first innings for Mumbai who piled on 537 runs in the first innings with the help of Sarfaraz Khan's double hundred, he then smashed another fifty plus scores when his batting came in the second innings. In both the innings, he came into bat at number 8. With this, he entered the record books and became the first-ever player, batting at number 8 or lower, to score two fifties in an Irani Cup match.
