Scotland scored 140 runs in exchange for 9 wickets in 20 overs after batting first. In retaliation, Bangladesh scored 134 runs in exchange for 7 wickets in the same 20 overs. Chris Greaves, who is an excellent all-rounder from Scotland, won the Player of the Match award. Greaves first scored 45 runs and then took two wickets. 


After beating Bangladesh by six runs, Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer has said that his team played just two matches as a group and were able to beat Bangladesh. Kyle Coetzer said, "Up until a month ago we had only played two games as a group, but there was a lot of strategizing and planning behind the scenes. A lot of people put in a lot of hard work and it was tough for us. It was a big deal for us. It's a win. It's something we've been planning for a long time. It's been a long two years after the qualifying tournament."
 
The Scotland captain continued, "We are now reaping the fruits of believing in this. Many players have made a lot of sacrifices. Associate cricket is very tough and when we get out of here, we are ready to take on any opportunity we get. We have made some good progress and I am really proud."
