Team India Squad for 2021 T20 World Cup: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set a September 10 deadline for all countries to announce their teams for the 2021 T20 World Cup that is to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. Meanwhile, it is being reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) could announce a 15-player Indian Cricket Team for the T20 World Cup on September 7.
According to ANI, the Indian Team for the 2021 T20 World Cup would be announced next week after the completion of the 4th Test between India and England.
It has been made evident that no player would be getting a place in the T20 World Cup team based on their performance in the 2021 IPL. The selectors and team management would be selecting the players for the 2021 T20 World Cup Team well in advance.
According to the report, BCCI plans to choose 15 players to be a part of the Indian Cricket Team for the T20 World Cup. In addition, three reserve players would also be selected. It is believed that Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan, and Rahul Chahar would be the reserve players for the tournament. On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav, mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty, and middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer could get a position in the Indian T20 World Cup squad.
Team India would be playing its first match against Pakistan:
Indian team would be playing its first match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, scheduled for October 24. Team India would then take on New Zealand on October 31, Afghanistan on November 3, and the qualifying team (B-1) in Super 12 on November 5.
These 15 players would most likely be a part of Team India at the T20 World Cup.
