Ashwin has also expressed gratitude to his fans for their unending support.
Ashwin said, "Happiness and Gratitude are two words that can summarise my feelings towards this comeback." Ashwin tweeted a picture after the new T20 team was announced. The picture reads, "There is light at the end of every tunnel, but those who believe in that light are the ones who can escape to see it."
R. Ashwin was confident of his comeback to limited overs cricket. He said, "I wrote it a million times in my schedule before hanging it on the wall. The lines we read or admire make a lot of difference when applied in personal life."
England has no chance of winning the series:
Ashwin has taken more than 400 wickets in Test cricket so far. Despite this, Ashwin was unable to score a place in the first four test matches in the series against England. Skipper Virat Kohli wasn't able to issue a clarification, due to which there was a lot of speculation and tension in the Indian Cricket Team.
Ashwin had last played limited overs cricket while being a part of the West Indies tour. He has taken 52 wickets in 46 T20Is. He took 13 wickets in the last season of the IPL.
His stellar performance in the IPL and Washington Sundar's injury have been the contributing factors in Ashwin's return. Virat Kohli had earlier said that either Sundar or Ashwin would would be a part of the team for the T20 World Cup.
