T20 World Cup 2024 Most Runs, Most Wickets: South Africa defeated Afghanistan in the first semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2024 and stormed into the final after a huge 9-wicket victory over the Rashid Khan-led team on June 27 (as per IST). South Africa bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen were the chief architects of the Rainbow Nation’s win as they helped the team to dismiss Afghanistan for a mere total of 56 runs in 11.5 overs after Rashid Khan decided to bat first on a tricky surface.

In response South Africa opener Quinton de Kock lost his wicket early but Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram ensured that South Africa crossed the line without losing any more wickets.
