T20 World Cup, India vs Pakistan: The encounters between India and Pakistan often see an atmosphere of pressure between the two teams. The cricket field is also not immune to the intense atmosphere of turmoil between the two countries. Counting the records so far, the two teams have faced each other twice, including the ODI and T20 World Cups. Five of these matches have been played in the T20 World Cup. Both teams have also come face to face in several other tournaments including the Asia Cup. There have often been incidents of clashes in the field in these high voltage encounters. Whether it was in the 1992 ODI World Cup between former India wicketkeeper-batsman Kiran More and former Pakistan legend Javed Miandad, or the 2010 Asia Cup intense incident between Gautam Gambhir and Kamran Akmal. Let us know about the four such encounters when there was a fierce clash between the Indian and Pakistani players on the field.

ODI World Cup 1992, Kiran More vs Javed Miandad

The clash between Kiran More and Javed Miandad in the ODI World Cup 1992 will still be fresh in everyone's minds. However, the style of this clash still leaves fans in splits. India batted first in the match to give Pakistan a target of 217 runs. After recovering from the early setbacks, Pakistan took the innings forward with Javed Miandad and Aamer Sohail. Meanwhile wicketkeeper Kiran More was constantly making an appeal. Miandad was not particularly happy with More's consistent appeal. Meanwhile, Miandad hit a shot and ran to make a run. More had blown the bails as soon as he got the throw, but Miandad, who had reached the crease, started jumping to tease him. The cricket fans found the scene that took place on the field very funny. However, More also copied Miandad from behind the wicket and started jumping similarly on his dismissal.

ODI World Cup 1996, Venkatesh Prasad vs Aamer Sohail

Both teams once again faced each other in the 1996 World Cup. India batted first and gave Pakistan a target of 288 runs to win.  Aamer Sohail and Saeed Anwar gave the team a brilliant start for Pakistan. Meanwhile, in the 15th over of the innings, Aamer Sohail hit a brilliant boundary off Venkatesh Prasad's ball on the off side. Soon after, Sohail teased Venkatesh Prasad and pointed the bat on the off side and said he would once again hit a boundary in the same direction. Teasing Prasad like this back fired on Sohail and on the next ball the team India bowler bowled him out and signaled him to go towards the pavilion. In the meantime, there was an atmosphere of tension between the two players.

Asia Cup 2010, Harbhajan Singh vs Shoaib Akhtar

Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar are often seen picking up rifts against each other on social media even today. However, this foundation between the two players was laid in the 2010 Asia Cup itself. Team India was chasing the target in this match. Harbhajan hit a brilliant six off Shoaib Akhtar in the 47th over of the innings after which a verbal battle broke out between the two. Akhtar was baffled after a six was hit on his ball and then he started bowling targeting Harbhajan's body. Harbhajan then finally hit a six to lead the team to victory and then celebrated by shouting and screaming at Shoaib Akhtar. Akhtar also did not like Harbhajan's style and waved to Harbhajan gesturing him to move on.

Asia Cup 2010, Gautam Gambhir vs Kamran Akmal

It was during the Asia Cup that Gautam Gambhir and Kamran Akmal once again had a heated exchange of words. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was present at the crease along with Gautam Gambhir during India's innings. Meanwhile, Kamran Akmal, who was standing behind the wicket, was consistently appealing for no reason. Gambhir did not like and clashed with Akmal over it. There was a heated argument between the two players during this time. The quarrel had escalated to such an end that the umpires and other players standing on the field had to defend and pacify them. Gambhir played a brilliant 83-run innings in the match and was named Player of the Match.
