Cricketer T Natarajan who was part of the Indian team originally as a net bowler, made his way in to the side and did his debut in all the three formats of the game. Various injuries struck team India on the Australia tour and Natarajan took full advantage of the opportunity he got in the team. He posted a picture outside a temple on social media and captioned it “Feeling blessed”. Actually, the picture is taken outside Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple at Palani in Tamil Nadu where he had gone on Saturday for a religious visit. Here, he also tonsured his head as part of the thanksgiving to the deity.
After India lost the ODI series against Australia in the first two matches, Natarajan got a chance in the third ODI. He did not disappoint, as he picked up two wickets but also gave away 70 runs. Although his performance in the T20 series was far better, he picked up six wickets in three T20I’s in less than seven runs per over. Natarajan eventually got a chance in the Test series also, as the team was hit with injuries and many players were ruled out. He picked up three wickets in the match and continued his good form.
Recently, many images and videos went viral of Natarajan’s grand welcome to his hometown, Salem. The youngster shot to fame due to his performance in Australia. That’s the reason, perhaps that Natarajan paid a visit to the Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple and shaved his head as a respect and thanksgiving to the God.

Natarajan is currently in his hometown and is not travelling with the Indian team to Chennai to play against England as he is not picked in the team due to the arrival of Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah back in the side.
