During the press conference, journalists asked the newly appointed head coach questions on his salary, 'tuk-tuk' approach of Pakistani players in international cricket rather going for the hard-hitting option and Pakistan cricket team's take on the ongoing Kashmir issue.
One of the journalist asked Misbah whether Pakistan cricket team is willing to come up with a noble gesture similar to Shadab Khan, who had vowed to donate his entire match fee from Sri Lanka series for J&K earthquake victims. Another question posed by the journalist was whether Pakistani players are planning to wear black bands or army caps in regard to the much-talked-about Kashmir issue.
Misbah avoided to answer the Journalist's question by asking the journalist to focus only on cricket and not off the field issues.

Misbah also revealed that he is taking the same salary as former coach Mickey Arthur. His statement comes after several reports suggested that the former skipper had asked the PCB more a huge salary hike to take up the head coach position.
“I’ve not performed any magic to get the jobs, I didn’t make any salary demands, I just asked them to pay me what they were paying the previous coach,” Misbah told reporters ahead of Pakistan’s home series.
