Suresh Raina, the ex-India cricketer and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star, lost his cousin brother in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, reports said. It is being reported that Raina's maternal uncle's son named Saurabh Kumar passed away in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Along with Saurabh another person named Shubham, a 19-year-old youngster, also breathed his last.



The incident comes as a hit-and-run case and was reported at the Gaggal Police station near the Gaggal airport in Kangra. The police officials chased the absconding taxi driver who hit the victim's vehicle and arrested him from Mandi. From what is being learnt so far, Saurabh was riding the scooter at the time of the accident and their clash with the taxi apparently saw both Saurabh and Shubham die on the spot. Saurabh's father Mago Ram is a factory worker.

Suresh Raina Currently Working As A Broadcaster In IPL 2024


As far as Raina is concerned, the member of India's 2011 World Cup-winning side is currently working as a broadcaster in IPL 2024. The former Gujarat Lions (GL) captain was given the nickname Mr. IPL for not missing a single IPL game for a prolonged period of time. Such was the left-handed batter, part-time bowler and the gun fielder's aura and contribution along with MS Dhoni at CSK that while Dhoni was called Thala, Raina was regarded as the Chinna Thala by the fans of the Men in Yellow.
