England veteran speedster Stuart Broad was disappointed after Ben Stokes refused to take a review against the umpire's decision during the second Ashes Test at Lord's on Friday. The incident transpired when Marnus Labuschagne was trapped LBW and the umpire gave him not out however it was quite close.
Broad was completely satisfied that he trapped Labuschagne but then Stokes did not take a review. According to the replay, the ball would have rattled the leg stump and the review would have been successful. Broad was apparently not happy with the incident and coach McCullum also signaled from the dressing room that it would have been out, the veteran pacer made his disappointment evident to the skipper.
Notably, England’s commitment to Bazball’s approach has been constantly raising questions from the fans and former cricketers after yet another poor display of batting in the second Test against Australia. Despite a commanding position at 278/4, the English team were restricted to 325 runs, conceding a vital first-innings lead of 91 runs to Australia.
