Cameron Green Injury: Australia have suffered a huge blow as star all-rounder Cameron Green has suffered a back injury, which has ruled him out of the 5th and final ODI vs England. The 25-year-old had reportedly complained of a back sprain he suffered during the third ODI and has not featured in the ongoing 4th ODI between Australia and England at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
The nature of the injury does not look extremely serious but the time duration of him staying out of action for now is uncertain, and is subject to further tests and assessment, as he now travels back to Perth.
Cameron Green is one of the most vital players for Australia across all formats, as his rapid rise in cricket has made him a prominent figure in the Australian national team set-up, and often features for them in almost every tour.
Even during the ongoing UK tour, Cameron Green has played pretty decent cricket and managed an impressive half-century against Scotland, and few important knocks against England in the 1st and 3rd ODI.
The upcoming ODI and T20I series at home against Pakistan can see the all-rounder skip the entire period of 6 matches, as the all-important Test series against India awaits the Aussies, and the hosts will be willing to feature a fully-fit Cameron Greenin their playing XI against Rohit Sharma's side.
Australia's 'Injury-Prone' UK Tour So Far
Cameron Green now becomes the latest addition in the long list of injured Australian players, as the reigning ODI and Test World Champions are suffering with lots of injury issues in their ongoing UK tour of white-ball cricket.
The Australian all-rounder now joins Nathan Ellis, Xavier Bartlett, Riley Meredith and Ben Dwarshuis amongst the players who have suffered injuries, and seeing the upcoming home series against Pakistan and India, Australia will definitely be hoping to avoid any more additions to the list.
