Jasprit Bumrah became only the third Indian bowler after Harbhajan and Irfan Pathan to pick up a hat-trick in Test cricket when he achieved the feat on Day 2 of the ongoing 2nd Test against West Indies at Sabina Park, Kingston.
Bumrah produced a fiery spell of fast bowling and sent back Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks and Roston Chase in three successive deliveries to pick up his maiden Test hat-trick. The India pacer finished with impressive figures of 6/16 as West Indies were tottering at 87/7 at stumps on Saturday, trailing India’s 1st innings score by 329 runs.
Bumrah's lethal spell was instrumental in India bowling out West Indies for 100 in the 2nd innings of the Antigua Test last week with his 1st-ever 5-wicket haul in the Carribean. The highly-rated pacer was in blazing hot form again in Jamaica as he rattled the West Indies top-order with pace and swing.
