Mishaal Al Saud also addressed the possibility of hosting IPL matches in Saudi Arabia, stating that discussions involving BCCI, SACF, and the Saudi government would be necessary to explore this prospect in future.
The Saudi prince revealed that world-class stadiums will soon be built, especially in Jeddah.
"The IPL auction is a major first step. It will help us fasttrack some of our plans. Hosting it would not have been possible without the big support from the Saudi Government and Mr. Jay Shah (the BCCI secretary)."
