Sarfaraz Khan scored a brisk half-century on Day 2 of the ongoing fifth India vs England Test match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala on Friday (March 8). India were in a comfortable position with centuries from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill but half-centuries from Sarfaraz along with Shubman Gill further strengthened India's position in the match. The Mumbai batter got to the landmark in 55 deliveries.
Sarfaraz upped the tempo soon after he had his eye in and played a knock studded with fours and a six that impressed one and all. The 26-year-old celebrated getting to the milestone by blowing a flying kiss towards his family present in the stadium. The video of Sarfaraz's celebration has gone viral on social media.

Sarfaraz Khan Hits Sensational Upper Cut Off Mark Wood During His Innings
Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Khan hit a sensational upper cut off Mark Wood during his knock. The manner in which he got down and played the stroke for a maximum reminded fans of Sachin Tendulkar who played the same shot with much ease and elegance. Sarfaraz was dominant against both spin and pace.
However, he would be disappointed with the way he got out first ball after tea, handing a regulation slip catch to Joe Root first ball after tea. Nonetheless, India ended Day 2 at 473/8, leading Three Lions by 255 runs. Kuldeep Yadav (27* off 55) and Jasprit Bumrah (19* off 55) will resume India's innings on Day 3 as India look to add as many runs as possible before trying to close in on a 4-1 in the five-match series.
India already have the series in their kitty as the lead the five-match series 3-1. However, World Test Championship (WTC) points are for grabs in this fixture which will mean incentive for both the touring party and the hosts to try and push for a win. As things stand though, India seem ahead in the match.
