West Indies legendary batter Chris Gayle turned 44 on September 21, 2023, and he received a lot of wishes from fans and fellow cricketers alike. Former cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh are on the list who wished Gayle on his special day. Gayle was born on September 21, 1979, in Jamaica in a very humble family background. Ever since he started playing cricket, his career is filled with many feats in all the formats of the game.

Gayle who is known as the 'Universe Boss', has been a stalwart batter for West Indies in international cricket ever since he made his debut in 1999. Keeping in mind his extraordinary hitting skills and perfect timing, Gayle has a huge fan base especially in India since he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).


Gayle is the only batter who has scored a  triple hundred in Tests, a double hundred in ODIs, and a hundred in T20Is. He also has the feat of scoring the fastest-ever T20 hundred, playing a record-breaking innings of 175 runs from 66 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors India in the IPL.


Chris Gayle has collected 7,214 runs in 103 Tests, 10,480 runs in 301 ODIs, and 1,899 runs in 79 T20Is. He has also scalped 260 wickets in international cricket.
