Pune: The man who has impressed one and all by his batting skills as an opener for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL, Ruturaj Gaikwad has opened up about MS Dhoni's relation with other players in the team. He is of the opinion that Dhoni has the utmost respect for Faf's opinion and the captain is in constant talks with the South African. Gaikwad was talking to India TV in a YouTube video. 


"And it's not like they discuss for 5 or 10 minutes, their conversations go on for an hour or even two hours on some occasions. They also have discussions every day during our (CSK's) practice sessions. A lot of times, even Mahi bhai reaches out to Faf during the match to ask for his advice."



"Their bond is great because both respect each other a lot. They often have a post-match discussion where Faf reaches out to MS Dhoni with suggestions. Even at this stage, they have very good discussions," Ruturaj Gaikwad, told India TV.



Gaikwad, who is a Pune-born batsman came to the limelight in 2020 when he scored 3 half-centuries for CSK. He continued his good form in the 1st leg of the 2021 IPL and has played a major role in CSK being second in the league table currently. 


Gaikwad had also tested positive for Covid-19 in 2020. When asked about his recovery, he said: "In the first two games, I felt weakness. I remember sleeping over 12-14 hours after the match. I was also feeling tired and the weakness was there for a couple of matches. It was back to normal after my body got used to it."


"Every professional cricket dreams to play for India one day. I'll be happy if I get the opportunity to wear the national jersey soon," he signed off.
