India have put on a dominant show in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 so far. While they were unbeaten in the group stage of the tournament, they continued the same form in the Super Eights winning three out of three matches to seal a place against England in the semifinal. India's semifinal fixture will be played in Guyana on June 27 (Thursday) and ahead of the match, Rohit Sharma & Co. have arrived at the Caribbean islands.


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video which showed the team's celebration after their emphatic win over Australia in their last Super Eights match leading to their flight to Guyana and their welcome there by the Indian fans there.

Rain Threat Looms Over India vs England Semifinal


While cricket lovers are eagerly waiting to witness the cricket action between India and England, rain threat looms large over the match with rain expected to play a spoilsport in the match. Moreover, there is no reserve day for semifinal 2 even though there is a reserve day in place for the first semifinal. In addtion, a minimum of 10 overs are required for a result in this knockout fixture.

While the provision for a reserve day is not there for the IND vs ENG semifinal even though it is available for the South Africa vs Afghanistan semifinal fixture, there are 250 minutes of extra time that has been kept for rain-realted interruptions and delay for this match. In case, the match is washed out India will get a direct entry into the finals because of their superior position in the Super Eights.
