His record-breaking feat: 122* vs South Africa, 140 vs Pakistan, 102 vs England, 104 vs Bangladesh, 103 vs Sri Lanka.

Rohit scored five tons during the 2019 World Cup. This included a remarkable 140 that he attained against arch-rivals Pakistan but the star opener revealed that his blistering 122-run knock against South Africa in India's opening fixture is his favourite ton.

"My favourite hundred in the World Cup was against South Africa in the first game that we played. Although it was a low total, the conditions were quite challenging and their bowling attack was really good," said the 33-year-old in a video.

Rohit Sharma is also the only the third batsman in World Cup history to score 600 plus runs in a single edition of the tournament.

In the match, Rohit Sharma's ton helped India open their World Cup campaign by beating South Africa by 6 wickets. 'Man of the match' Rohit Sharma held one end of the wicket strongly to chase down the 228-runs target.

Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick pf the bowlers as he bagged four wickets in the game.
