The Indian captain Rohit Sharma is currently enjoying his time away from the game and has often been spotted at public places with his family. Recently, he was spotted visiting Balaji Temple alongside his family ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. The high-octane tournament is set to take place on August 30, as Pakistan will be playing against Nepal in the curtain raiser.

Rohit paid a visit to Tirupati to seek blessings along with his wife and daughter ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. A video of the same went viral on social media and several fans spotted the cricketer at the temple and also managed to click pictures despite heavy security.

Talking about Rohit’s form, the Indian skipper has been going through a rough patch with the bat since the last season of IPL, scoring only 332 runs in 16 appearances including just two fifties at an average of 20.75. In the recently passed World Test Championship final against Australia, Rohit managed to score just 15 and 43 runs, respectively.

But then he made a comeback with his willow against the West Indies during the two-Test match series as he scored a  century (103 runs) and got 80 and 57 runs in the red-ball contest.  Rohit will be hoping to shine both as a skipper and batter in the upcoming Asia Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup.

The Indian team will start their Asia Cup campaign by playing against  Pakistan in their first match at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on September 2. The Men in Blue will then face Nepal at the same venue on September 4. The  Asia Cup will serve as a vital training ground for the upcoming World Cup which is set to begin on October 5th.
