Even as World Champions Team India are yet to touch down New Delhi after their epic 7-run over South Africa in the final in Barbados, seems like a lengthy plan is already in place for the victorious Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue. The team will be arriving in the national capital early morning on Thursday (July 4) but will only get a few hours of rest before they meet India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi at around 11:00 am (IST).


And now, it is being learnt that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has planned a open-bus parade for the victorious Team India in Mumbai. The team will be taking another chartered flight from Delhi to Mumbai.

The last bit of Team India's journey from the Mumbai airport to the Wankhede Stadium wwill be in an open-bus. A similar open-bus parade was done when the MS Dhoni-led side won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.


BCCI To Hand Over 125-Crore Prize Money At The Ceremony In Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium


After the open-bus parade, Team India will be doing a victory parade inside the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It is being learnt that fans can enter the stadium for free to watch the Team's victory parade with the T20 World Cup trophy.

All the celebrities and the whose who's of Maharashtra have been invited for the ceremony. The prize money of Rs 125 Crore which was announced by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah for the team and the support staff after the team's win in the final will also be handed over in the ceremony.
