T20 World Cup: The T20 World Cup is set to begin in the UAE next month. Team India vice-captain Rohit Sharma is eyeing to win the World Cup. Rohit Sharma said Team India will do everything it can to repeat history by winning the T20 world.


India won the first tournament of the T20 World Cup in 2007 under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rohit Sharma has been part of the Indian team that won the title in South Africa in 2007. Rohit Sharma recalled the victory in the first tournament. The vice-captain said, "Sep 24th, 2007, Johannesburg. The day when a billion dreams came true."






The title was captured 14 years ago.


Rohit Sharma added, "It's been 14 years since, we've come a long way, we've created many more histories, we've had our setbacks, we struggled, but it didn't break our spirits. Because we never give up. We give it all!!!


Rohit and skipper Virat Kohli, who are currently leading Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, will be important members of India's strong batting order. Rohit has scored 2,864 runs in 111 T20 Internationals at an average of 32.54, including four centuries and 22 fifties.


With this, Rohit Sharma leads the race to become the new captain of Team India in the T20 format. Virat Kohli has announced to quit the captaincy from this format after the T20 World Cup.
