Rohit Sharma Breaks Sourav Ganguly's ICC Captaincy Record: India have secured a place in the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The Men in Blue did not drop a game in New York, registering wins in each of their matches against Ireland, Pakistan and United States so far. They have a group stage match remaining as they will take on Canada in Florida on June 15. Irrespective of the result of the last match though, India will forge into the next round of the competition.

Captain Rohit Sharma further improved his record as the leader of the Indian cricket team in ICC events. Being spot on with his bowling changes and tactical calls, India managed to defend 119 against arch-rivals Pakistan. In other matches too, he was brilliant as a leader as India managed to remain undefeated.
