Prior to the crucial match against Bangladesh, the Indian players engaged in net sessions in Pune on both Tuesday and Wednesday to familiarise themselves with the local conditions.

In a video shared by the BCCI's official Instagram account, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who has been the highest run-scorer for India in their recent ODI World Cup matches against Afghanistan and Pakistan, was seen showcasing his off-spin bowling skills during the net session with star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as the batsman. The video, captioned "Say hello to off-spinner Rohit Sharma," has gone viral, sparking hopes that Rohit might contribute as a bowler during the ODI World Cup 2023, thereby providing India with an additional part-time bowling option.
