Young batter from Assam, Riyan Parag has been in terrific form in the Deodhar Trophy where he smashed his second century of the season. Playing for  East Zone, Riyan put up a brilliant performance against West Zone, notching a splendid century in only 66 deliveries. Coming to bat at number six spot, he gathered an impressive  102 runs off 68 balls, including six boundaries and five huge sixes. He was also involved in an extraordinary stand with  Kumar Kushagra for the sixth wicket, adding 150 runs in 106 balls, helping East Zone in reaching a strong total of 319 runs.


















Apart from Parag, Utkarsh Singh also made a  52-ball 50 while wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra got a half-century off 47 deliveries.


Earlier, during the game against North Zone, the Assam-based batter got a terrific century and ended up making 131 runs off 102 balls with the help of 11 sixes and five boundaries.


In a total of 47 List A games, Parag accumulated over 1500 runs with an impressive average of over 40. Not only with his batting, Parag also delivered with the ball by picking up 48 wickets in his career, proving his worth as a handy all-rounder for his team.


Talking about his IPL run, Riyan was roped in by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 20 lakhs in the third and final round of the player auction before IPL 2019.  The right-hand batter still holds the record of being the youngest player to score an IPL fifty.
