Mominul Haque has scored a splendid hundred in the India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. While there was no play on the second and third days of the Kanpur Test because of rain and a wet outfield, when play resumed on Day 4, it was Haque's ton that headlined Bangladesh's batting effort in the first session of Day 4.

Mominul remained unbeaten on 102 off 176 balls as Lunch was called on a bright and sunny morning in Kanpur. The left-handed batter's becomes the second Bangladeshi batter to notch up a Test ton in India. The 33-year-old's response comes after Rishabh Pant apparently took a dig at Mominul Haque's height when he was caught on the stump mic telling Ravichandran Ashwin that they can get him out LBW if the ball hits his helmet. The video had gone viral on social media.
Not only did Mominul showed great composure in choosing to focus on his job with the bat but showed great strength to come to score a hundred as wickets fell around him. Bangladesh's Number three batter scored 16 boundaries and a six as Bangladesh's scoreboard reads 205/6 at Lunch on Day 4. The century in Kanpur happens to be the 13th one oin Test cricket for Mominul who will continue to bat deep into the innings with the match seemingly heading towards a draw.

India Opt To Bowl First For First Time In A Home Test Since 2015
Notably, India won the toss and elected to bowl first for the first time in a home Test match since 2015. However, only 35 overs were bowled on the opening day of the Kanpur Test before a heavy spell of rain made no further play possible.
