New Delhi: Mohit Ahlawat has created history by becoming the first batsman to score a triple century in a T20 match at level.

21-year-old wicket-keeper batsman Mohit Ahlawat achieved this never seen before feat in a local T20 tournament at Delhi’s Lalita Park, playing for Maavi XI against Friend’s XI.

Mohit’s unbeaten 300 run innings came off just 72 balls and was laced with a staggering 39 sixes and 14 boundaries. He was batting on 250 at the end of 18 overs and went to score his last 50 runs in the remaining 2 overs of the match including 34 off the last one. He hit 5 consecutive sixes off the last 5 balls of the innings.

Mohit’s effort led his side to 416 at the end of 20 overs.

The highest score of T20 cricket (not including club cricket) belongs to Chris Gayle. Gayle had slammed 175 runs in an IPL match for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013. Mohit’s herculean effort surpasses with ease.

Apart from Mohit, Gaurav went on score 86 runs for Maavi XI.
