Winning the toss and electing to field first against RCB turned favourable for the Warner Squad which had retuned to the game with the aim to move a step closer towards the playoffs. Team Kohli on the other hand evidently struggled with its batting unit, failing to become the second team after Mumbai Indians to reserve berth for the playoff.
When put to bat first, the Kohli & Co. struggled early on with the openers and other big fish walking off fields too soon. Padikkal whi usually gives a good start to the unit, could not tack the attack and so did the skipper Kohli, who returned to pavalions contributing mere 7(7).
AB de Villiers did pull of the game to quite an extent. His boundaries allowed him make strong 24 runs from 24 deliveries. Josh Philippe 32(31) too contributed big sum but all in vain, as when put to bowl later in the second half, the bowlers leaked several lengths and boundaries. Among the lot, Chahal surely did win our hearts with his skills.
