New Delhi: Ishan Kishan smashed brilliant 273 off 336 ball to guide Jharkhand to a mammoth total of 493 runs against Delhi in the fifth-round Group B fixture at the St Xaviers College ground in Thumba.



Ishan, who led India to the U-19 World Cup finals, relished responsibilities on the pitch as he turned to batting at the number 6 position. Jharkahnd suffered early blows and the scoreboard displayed 80/4 when Ishan walked to bat.



The Left hand batsman also equaled the record of most sixes in an innings with 14 sixes. Ishan now tops the list with Shakti Singh who hit 14 sixes for Himachal Pradesh against Haryana in 1990.



The wicket-keeper batsman becomes the highest run scoring batsman for Jharkhand.
