R Ashwin Retirement: R Ashwin, India’s second-highest wicket-taker in Tests, announced his retirement from international cricket on December 18 (Wednesday). Speaking at a press conference alongside Team India captain Rohit Sharma after the IND vs AUS Test at Brisbane, Ashwin revealed that the day marked the end of his remarkable 14-year international career. With 537 Test wickets, over 3,500 runs with the bat, the most five-wicket hauls by an Indian in Tests, and joint-most ten-wicket hauls by an Indian, Ashwin’s achievements have solidified his place among cricket's elite.
