Qosh Tepa T20 Cup 2024 Final: Band-e-Amir Region have defeated Mis Ainak Region by 23 runs to be crowned as the inaugural champions of the Qosh Tepa T20 Cup 2024, as Afghanistan's cricket is on a rise, with them introducing the world with their first ever National T20 Cup. The league started from May 1, and the final took place at the Alokozay Kabul International Cricket Ground in Kabul on May 13, and it produced many epic moments throughout its tenure.
Afghanistan all-rounder Karim Janat was the true architect of his side's epic victory in the Final, as the 25-year old bossed in both, the batting and the bowling department. Karim Janat scored a magnificent 107 off 53 balls, and managed to scalp 4 wickets and registered the figures of 4/34 in his 4 overs, as he single-handedly influenced the outcome of the fixture.

Electing to bat first, the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side got off to a sluggish start, as they were reduced to 35/2 inside the Powerplay. What followed later was a brilliant partnership between the skipper and Karim Janat, before the dismissal of the former on the score of 101. Karim Janat was joined by Bahar Shinwari, who's aggressive intent dragged the side beyond the 190+ score and Band-E-Amir Region managed 196/5 at the end of their innings.
In reply, Afghanistan's star batsman Ibrahim Zadran, alongside Naveed Obaid, got off a flier and it looked like the Mis Ainak Region were running away with chase. However, things fell apart for them on the last ball of the Powerplay, as Naveed got out, which marked a chain of wickets in quick succession, as in a matter of few overs, Mis Ainak Region went from 59/0 to 87/4.
Few partnerships followed up but Band-E-Amir Region did extremely well to defend their title and bundled out Mis Ainak Region on 173 to seal a memorable and historic victory.
