"Last year, we faced a similar situation but couldn't pull through. This time, I'm thrilled that we could get the job done! It was a familiar scenario facing the same bowler, but this time it ended in our favor. We had a strong belief in our ability to chase down any target on this pitch. The partnership between Shadab and Colin was outstanding, and my pairing with Faheem was the icing on the cake. I've been struggling with my form recently, so today I made a conscious effort to bat more responsibly and take the innings deeper," said Imad Wasim in the post-match presentation ceremony.

"Usman Khan's innings was truly remarkable, and Colin showed incredible intensity with the bat, especially after his injury. As we head into the playoffs, our focus is to be razor-sharp. We know anything can happen in those matches, so we need to stay positive, press for wins, and maintain our momentum," he added.

Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans to create a record for highest total chased in PSL 2024 and with that, they become the third team to qualify for the play-offs of PSL 2024. Multan Sultans were the first team to qualify, followed by Babar Azam's Peshawar Zalmi. Now only one spot remain, with Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators contesting for it.
