India’s teenage batting sensation Prithvi Shaw is back on the cricket field following after getting fully recovered from the ankle injury. Back in the month of November, Shaw twisted his ankle during the practice game in Australia and was ruled out for the entire Test series.

After going through a long rehabilitation process, the 19-year-old has been declared fit and eyeing to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament for Mumbai.

"I felt sad as it was a good opportunity for me to play the quality Australian bowling line-up. I was a bit upset," Shaw said.

"But some things aren't in your hands. Now I am looking forward to the Mushtaq Ali tournament to find my touch and gain my confidence back," the diminutive opener added.

Shaw made his debut in Test cricket in October 2018 against the visiting Windies in Rajkot where he scored a magnificent century. At the same time, he became the youngest Indian batsman to score a century on debut when he hit 134 in the Rajkot Test at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 25 days.

His blistering knocks in those two matches earned him a seat on the flight to Australia but unfortunately, he couldn’t showcase his talent on the Aussie soil.
